2001 Syrah Tasting Notes: Rich aromas of black fruits, vanilla, spice and a hint of mint precede intense flavors of the spice and black berries. Rich round and long in the mouth. Vineyards: Sawtooth & Skyline Vineyards Fermentation: The grapes were very ripe for this vintage before they achieved optimum fruit flavors. The grapes were destemed to a red fermentor and cold soaked for 48 hours. Yeast was added and allowed the fermentation to spike up to 90 Degrees F.
